The Westchase Business Network: Why I Built It and What It Has Become

When I moved to Westchase, I did what most people do. I looked for a way to connect with the business community here. A networking group rooted in this specific neighborhood, run by people who actually live and work in 33626. It did not exist. So I built it.

The Westchase Business Network is now the only networking organization built specifically for and by the Westchase community. But what it has become is far more than a place to exchange business cards.

What Makes It Different From Every Other Networking Group

Most networking groups are transactional. You show up, you pitch yourself, you collect contacts, you leave. The WBN was built around a different premise. The members here are neighbors first. They live on the same streets, send their kids to the same schools, and shop at the same businesses. That proximity changes the quality of every relationship in the room.

When a WBN member refers you to a plumber or a financial advisor or a marketing consultant, they are not just sending you a name. They are putting their own reputation on the line inside a community they care about. That accountability produces a different caliber of recommendation than you will ever get from a Google search.

Community Events That Actually Bring People Together

The WBN does not just meet in conference rooms. We show up for the neighborhood. Events like Dos de Mayo at La Placita Cantina bring the community together around something genuinely fun, raise money for local causes, and give members a way to connect in a setting that feels nothing like a pitch session. When people experience your business in a community context, trust builds differently. That is the point.

Supporting Madi Movement

One of the causes the WBN supports is Madi Movement, a local organization doing urgent work: kids aging out of the foster care system in our area are hitting a wall at 18. Without support, too many of them end up in jail or facing impossible circumstances before they have had a real chance. Madi Movement provides mentorship, resources, and a community of people who refuse to let those kids fall through the cracks.

This is not a checkbox. It is a reflection of what the WBN actually believes. A strong community takes care of all of its members, not just the ones who own homes. When you work with me, a portion of every closing goes to causes like this. That is not marketing. That is just how I operate.

The Member Spotlight: Why Individual Stories Matter

One of the things I am most proud of about the WBN is the depth of talent in the room. These are not generic vendors. They are specialists with real stories, real expertise, and genuine stakes in this community.

The financial advisor who grew up in Tampa, built his practice here, and has guided Westchase families through market crashes and retirements. The interior designer who left a corporate career to build her own firm in 33626 and whose eye for space has transformed dozens of homes before they ever hit the market. The contractor who has been serving Westchase homes for fifteen years and whose handshake means something because his kids go to school with yours.

These are the people on the Westchase VIP Vendor Guide. These are the people I send to my clients. Not because I found them online. Because I know them, I have watched them work, and I trust them with the homes and families of the people I serve.

Why This Differentiates Me As Your Agent

Any agent can list your home. Very few of them have spent years building the community infrastructure that makes your home worth more. The WBN, the vendor network, the community events, the charitable giving — none of this is peripheral to what I do as a real estate agent. It is the foundation of it.

When you hire me, you are not just hiring someone to put a sign in your yard. You are accessing a network of trusted professionals embedded in this community, a track record of showing up beyond the transaction, and an agent whose name means something to the people who live here because they have seen what I stand for over time.

That is a different thing. And it is worth something.
